Balat, President of the International Energy Union; “Protecting such a resource is almost a debt of the country for us. MTA is making great efforts in geothermal. They work diligently to distribute and parcel the geothermal fields in accordance with some important conditions and to allocate them to industrialists accordingly.

Unfortunately, we did not grasp the importance of this in the first place. When we made a trip to the fields in the USA last year, we saw that the production of the region that produces 1000 MWe energy has decreased to 200 MWe due to not re-injection. We do not want to encounter such an incident in Turkey. We must protect this beautiful resource like our lives, ”he continued.

Balat concluded his speech at the conference by saying that we should not misuse natural resources for our commercial purposes, otherwise we should definitely forget that these resources may be destroyed.
The congress, which lasted for two days, ended with closing speeches.
