\r\n\tGelecek nesiller için daha temiz ve güvenli bir kaynak olan jeotermal enerjiden üretilen elektrik enerjisinin 2030 y\u0131l\u0131na kadar \u015fu anki seviyesinden yüzde (%) 500 oran\u0131nda artt\u0131r\u0131lmas\u0131 yönünde Küresel Jeotermal Birli\u011fi 38 ülke temsilcisi taraf\u0131ndan al\u0131nan karara imza at\u0131ld\u0131.
\r\n\tParis’te düzenlenen konferans\u0131n tüm dünya için bir ad\u0131m oldu\u011funu dile getiren Uluslararas\u0131 Jeotermal Enerji Birli\u011fi Ba\u015fkan\u0131 ve MB Holding Yönetim Kurulu Ba\u015fkan\u0131 Muharrem Balat ise; “ Tüm dünyada 90 ülkede tespit edilmi\u015f jeotermal kaynak olmas\u0131na kar\u015f\u0131 bu ülkelerden sadece 24’ü jeotermal elektrik üretimi yap\u0131yor. Bu da tahmini küresel jeotermal enerji potansiyelinin %6’s\u0131 kadar\u0131na denk geliyor.  Jeotermal enerjiyi geli\u015ftirmek için her türlü destek ve ortakl\u0131\u011fa ye\u015fil \u0131\u015f\u0131k yakt\u0131\u011f\u0131m\u0131z\u0131 duyurmak isteriz” diye konu\u015ftu.<\/p>\r\n

\r\n\tBalat; “Ülkemizde jeotermal arama çal\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131 1960 y\u0131llar\u0131n ba\u015f\u0131nda hareket kazand\u0131.  Devlet eliyle K\u0131z\u0131ldere jeotermal sahas\u0131nda 1984 y\u0131l\u0131nda yap\u0131lan klasik buhar türbini uygulamas\u0131 ile jeotermal enerjiden elektrik üretimi gerçekle\u015ftirildi. Bu uygulamaya müteakip, özel sektör taraf\u0131ndan gerçekle\u015ftirilen ve ülkemizin ilk özel sektör jeotermal elektrik santrali tesisi olan 8,5 MWe Kurulu gücündeki Dora-1 JES 2006 y\u0131l\u0131nda i\u015fletmeye al\u0131nd\u0131. 11,5 MWe kurulu gücündeki Dora-2 santralini ise 2008’de, ard\u0131ndan 34 MWe gücündeki Dora-3 Ünite-1 ve Dora-3 Ünite-2’yi 2014’te kullan\u0131ma açt\u0131k. 17 MWe Kurulu gücü olacak Dora-4’ü de 2016 itibariyle devreye almay\u0131 planl\u0131yoruz. \u015eu anda MB Holding'in toplam kurulu jeotermal elektrik gücü 54 MWe’a ula\u015fm\u0131\u015f durumda. Ç\u0131kt\u0131\u011f\u0131m\u0131z bu zorlu yolda birçok engelle kar\u015f\u0131la\u015ft\u0131k. Biz Dora-1 santrali için Gaziantep’teki iplik fabrikam\u0131z\u0131n enerjisini kar\u015f\u0131lamay\u0131 hedefleyerek elektrik üretme yetkisi ald\u0131k. Akabinde Dora-1’i açarken serbest elektrik üretim yasas\u0131 ç\u0131kt\u0131. Biz de böylece üretti\u011fimiz elektri\u011fi TE\u0130A\u015e’a satma \u015fans\u0131n\u0131 elde ettik. Daha önce Türkiye’de bir örne\u011fi olmad\u0131\u011f\u0131 için her a\u015famas\u0131n\u0131 kendi bilgi ve tecrübemizle gerçekle\u015ftirdi\u011fimiz Dora-1 Santrali, Türkiye’nin jeotermaldeki ufkunu açm\u0131\u015f oldu ”dedi.<\/p>\r\n

\r\n\tJeotermal enerji sayesinde iklim de\u011fi\u015fikli\u011fi etkilerinin azalt\u0131labilece\u011fini dile getiren Muharrem Balat; “Jeotermal enerji de, elektrik enerjisi üretimi yan\u0131nda, \u0131s\u0131 enerjisinden faydalan\u0131lmas\u0131, entegre kullan\u0131m özelli\u011fi, kayna\u011f\u0131n emisyon azalt\u0131m de\u011ferini kat be kat artt\u0131rmaktad\u0131r. Paris’te gerçekle\u015ftirilen Birle\u015fmi\u015f Milletler \u0130klim De\u011fi\u015fikli\u011fi Çerçeve Sözle\u015fmesi 21. Taraflar Toplant\u0131s\u0131nda jeotermal kaynaklar ile ilgili al\u0131nan karara bak\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131nda, görüyoruz ki bu uygulama zaten son 15-20 y\u0131lda devlet politikas\u0131 haline gelmi\u015f. Ülkemizdeki jeotermal potansiyelinin kullan\u0131m\u0131n\u0131n artmas\u0131 ile son iki y\u0131lda jeotermal enerjiden elektrik üretimi kurulu gücü %300 mertebesinde artm\u0131\u015f. Bugün için 615 MWe JES kurulu gücüne ula\u015f\u0131ld\u0131. Ülkemizin jeotermal enerjisini geli\u015ftirme potansiyelinin bulundu\u011funun alt\u0131n\u0131 çizmek istiyorum. Gelece\u011fimizi dü\u015fünüyorsak bu kaynaklar\u0131m\u0131z\u0131 gün yüzüne ç\u0131karmal\u0131, i\u015fbirli\u011fi yan\u0131nda, jeotermal enerji kaynaklar\u0131na verilen te\u015fvik ve desteklerin artt\u0131r\u0131lmas\u0131n\u0131 sa\u011flamal\u0131y\u0131z. Hedeflerimiz tuttu\u011funda ise Türkiye, jeotermal enerji üretiminde dünyada 3’ncü s\u0131raya yerle\u015fecek. Bu da gitti\u011fimiz yolun ne kadar do\u011fru bir yol oldu\u011funu bizlere gösteriyor. 10 y\u0131l önce bu alana hizmet ve yat\u0131r\u0131m yapma karar\u0131 al\u0131rken sarf etti\u011fimiz cümleler ve koydu\u011fumuz hedefler bugün Paris Konferans\u0131nda uluslararas\u0131 hedefler haline geldi. Yeni hedefimiz dünya üzerinde ye\u015fil bir iz b\u0131rakabilmek, yeni nesillere temiz bir gelecek kurabilmektir. Payda\u015flar aras\u0131nda ki tecrübe i\u015fbirli\u011fi ve sa\u011fl\u0131kl\u0131 koordinasyon jeotermal enerjinin kalk\u0131nmas\u0131n\u0131n önünde ki engelleri kald\u0131racakt\u0131r. \r\n\tThe Global Geothermal Alliance was launched to increase the global share of geothermal energy, at the United Nations Climate Change Conference, which was held in the capital of France, Paris, with the participation of 38 countries. International Geothermal Energy Association is among the Members of the Alliance, which also includes Turkey.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\tThe decision, which was taken by the representatives of 38 member countries of the Global Geothermal Alliance to increase the amount of electricity energy, generated from geothermal that is a cleaner and safer resource, at the rate of 500 percent (%) from its current level, until the year of 2030, was signed.
\r\n\tRemarking that the conference, at Paris, was a step, taken for the entire world, Muharrem Balat, the President of the International Geothermal Energy Association and the Chairman of the Executive Board of MB Holding, said: “Although there are geothermal resources, found in 90 countries around the world, only 24 of them are making geothermal electricity production. This is equal to 6 % percent of the predicted geothermal energy potential. We want to make it known that we lid a green light for every kind of support and partnership to develop the geothermal energy”.<\/p>\r\n

\r\n\tBalat stated that “Geothermal exploration works accelerated in the early 1960s. In state-funded K\u0131z\u0131ldere geothermal field, the electricity production from geothermal energy was achieved with the application of classical steam turbine in 1984. Subsequent to this application, Dora-1 JES, which had the installed power of 8,5 MWe and was the first private-funded geothermal power plant of our country, was commissioned in 2006. Later, we put Dora-2 power plant, with 11,5 MWe installed power, into service in 2008, and then the Unit-1, Dora-3, with 34 MWe power, and Unit-2, Dora-3, in 2014. We are planning on commissioning Dora-4, with 17 MWe installed power, as of 2016. Right now, MB Holding’s total installed geothermal electricity power has reached 54 MWe. In this challenging process, we faced many obstacles. Aiming at meeting the energy need of our thread factory in Gaziantep, we bought the certification of producing electricity for Dora-1 power plant. Later, when we were launching Dora-1, the law of free electricity production was passed. Therefore, we found a chance to sell the electricity that we produced to TE\u0130A\u015e. Since there had not been any other example of this before in Turkey, Dora-1 Power Plant, which we developed with our own knowledge and experience, expanded the horizons of Turkey, in terms of geothermal energy”.<\/p>\r\n

\r\n\tAlso remarking  the effects of the climate change can be reduced with the geothermal energy, Muharrem Balat continued his words as “Using thermal energy as well as electricity and the feature of integrated use increase the emission reduction value for multiple times, in the geothermal energy. Considering the decision taken about the geothermal resources at the 21st Members’ Meeting of the United Nations Climate Change Framework Agreement, at Paris, it is seen that this has already become a state policy in last 15 or 20 years. With the increase in the use of geothermal potential of our country, the installed power of electricity production from geothermal energy has increased at the rate of 300 % in last two years. Today, we have reached the installed power of 615 MWe JES. I want to emphasize that our country has a potential to increase its geothermal energy. If we are considering our future, we must reveal our resources and provide that incentives and supports must be increased as well as the cooperation for the geothermal energy resources. When we achieve our goals, Turkey will be in the 3rd place among the world leaders of geothermal energy production. This is also proving how much we are correct to follow this trail.  Our statements and goals, which we had when we decided to serve and invest in this field 10 years ago, became international goals at the Paris Conference. Our new target is to be able to leave a green footprint on the world and to build a clean future for the next generations. If necessary, we can travel, build power plants or encourage people for the geothermal energy around the entire world, to achieve this goal”.<\/p>\r\n

\r\n\tWE WILL ASSIST OUR SHAREHOLDERS<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\tTalking about the importance of the declaration at Paris and stating that we will overcome the obstacles before the geothermal energy, together, the President of the International Geothermal Energy Association, Balat said “One of the most rational steps, to be taken in this issue, is unity and solidarity. The experience, cooperation and healthy coordination between the shareholders are going to eliminate the obstacles before the development of geothermal energy. In this progress, which was started with the motto of ‘unity creates strength’, we are going to support the Global Geothermal Alliance and increase the use of this, environment friendly, clean and renewable energy resource, by giving our support as the International Geothermal Energy Association. In this matter, we are going to support the shareholders in the geothermal energy policies, regulations, technologies, and also in the field of finance, by reducing the risks of exploration, drilling, investment and operation, in order to combine the different advantages of the variety of shareholders, in the best possible manner.<\/p>\r\n

\r\n\tTelling that they had frequently asked themselves whether they were going to invest in other energy resources after their investments in the geothermal field, Balat concluded his words with giving a promise: “Geothermal is an unblossomed rose. At first, our purpose is to develop and value such a precious resource. If we use geothermal energy carefully, it will never lose its feature of renewability, and it will never fade away. It stays loyal to you and your country. Therefore, instead of embarking on the other resources, I want to help the development of geothermal energy”.<\/p>\r\n
